Growing up in the suburbs of Albany, Will often felt disconnected from the mainstream music of his era, finding solace instead in jam bands and classic oldies. It wasn't until he took on blue-collar work during summers after high school that country music entered his life — and it stuck. The energy of live shows, a shared sense of values with the crowds, and lyrics that actually reflected his own experiences made him feel immediately at home. From that point on, country music became an ever-growing influence on both his taste and his craft.
